how did we get here

Well in March of 2009 we found ourselves pregnant. It wasn't something that we had planned, infact the opposite.

I had never been all that clucky and i was turning 38, My partner deffinately did not want kids so we settled into our luxurious life of ME ME ME. I want that new pair of shoes... i work hard. I can have it. Ohh looky, VAustralia have a special on flights to LA next week LETS GO (and we did)

So how did it all come about that we now have an 8 week old angel?

One day we just didn't 'tarp up' as DP would say. Yeah we can play those odds we decided... 6 weeks later and no sign of the usual we took a test... YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING. My ovaries are old, he drinks and smokes and partakes in the occasional wacky weed... how could this be...

I sat on the couch... he was chopping the vegies.  I was watching TV, just ignoring the issue... he turns around and states.... 'This is pretty exciting actually'

WHAT THA??

Noooooo... really?? I knew that there was no way in the world I could terminate a pregnancy and that we were having this bub no matter what... i just didn't expect DP to be excited about it...

By the end of the week we had a list of names, what school it would go to etc.. but alas it wasn't meant to be. (had you done the math?)

So after a lot of tears and hugs and a few days off work we settled back into our lives.. and things would never be the same again...

What was I thinking

This is a quick intro about me and my current life.

I am 39 years old, have a wonderful partner of 5 years and an 8 week old baby girl....
